05/12/2006 · TPT appear on the album of La Marató 2006

This year, TPT have been invited to appear on this year's album for La Marató de TV3, playing Sempre t'he tingut present. It's a cover of Elvis' classic, Always on my mind and it's the first time you can hear TPT in catalan. Also appearing on the album: El Canto del Loco, Dyango, Miguel Poveda or Alejandro Sanz. The album will cost 9€ and will only be available with next Sunday's (the 10th ) catalan daily press. All the mone will go to medical research to fight chronic pain. And on Sunday the 17th you can see TPT playing their cover on the live show of La Marató on TV3.

The Pinker Tones are back in NYC to participate at the CMJ. Every band that has had major success in the last 25 years has placed there: from R.E.M to Arcade FIRE, from Radiohead to Eminem… And TPT are the first Spanish band ever to play the Festival.

23/10/2006 · TPT go East!

TPT are back from the tour that has taken them from Barcelona to Beijing, from Beijing to Shanghai, from Shanghai to Saint Petersburg –where they shared stage with Coldcut–, from Saint Petersburg to Ufa. It's been two weeks full of incredible experiences, and here you have a photo collage by Professor Manso that will give you an idea of how many things have happened to TPT during this tour.

25/09/2006 · Thank you Barcelona!

The last show of this summer's tour, back from their tour in Russia and their stop at the Festival Costademusicas'06 in Lanzarote, has been a historical event for the band. Last Saturday, September 23rd, they played in the Fórum Park in Barcelona, in front of almost 20.000 people who danced like mad, even though hard rain was pouring on them during the 90 minute show. That's why we want to thank all of you who stayed there dancing with us while holding up your umbrellas. We will never forget! You can see some pictures of the show.

15/09/2006 · TPT back in the ex USSR (Part 2)

Just two months after the launch of The Million Colour Revolution in The Russian Federation and TPT's first visit to Moscow, the boys are leaving for Russia next Saturday, September the 16th. This time they're playing a minitour of three cities: Moscow, Kazan and Sochi. And in October they will fly back to play Saint Petersburg as well.

There are three recent compilations including tracks of TPT which we haven't talked about yet. The time is now: LAMC 2006 (printed for the Latin Alternative Music Conference 2006 in NYC) and Sample this are both released by Nacional Records. Karma Hunters, the third single of The Million Colour Revolution, has been selected to be part of the soundtrack for the Mexican movie Efectos Secundarios, Issa Lopez's second feature film.
The original soundtrack has been released by EMI Music Mexico. Also appearing Plastilina Mosh, Nortec Collective and Amaral.

If last year's edition of the classic game by Electronic Arts had a soundtrack with tracks by Oasis, Bloc Party, LCD Soundsystem, Röyksopp or Vitalic, this year it's TPT's turn. They will appear on the soundtrack of the FIFA 2007 game with TMCR Grand Finale. Also appearing: Plastilina Mosh, Muse, Keane, Boy kill Boy, Infadels, Tahiti 80 or The Feeling.

08/08/2006 · TPT in… TPT paint NYC pink!

After a great success in their Russian minitour, TPT landed in NYC to attend the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) with a great review of Kommersant, Russias most important newspaper in their pockets.
In NY, everybody's reaction to their acoustic show at S.O.B.'s and the concert at the Bowery Ballroom was so strong that next day's 2 hour block of interviews became a media marathon of 4,5 hours. That same night they played at The Hot Pink, and it was so packed that some people couldn't get in! They also appeared on national television at A&E's "Breakfast with the arts", where they did a 3 track electronic set (including Sonido Total, Karma Hunters and TMCR Grand Finale) and a full acoustic version of Love Tape, featuring guest stars Dj Niño and Pecker. Furia and Manso were also interviewed by Nic Harcourt, who had already played TPT tracks on his radio show at KCRW. Latest guests at BWTA include Rod Stewart and The Black Eyed Peas.

26/07/2006 · TPT in... Back in the (ex)USSR!

After their huge success at the JAZZALDIA Festival in San Sebastián, the boys are leaving the country again. This week TPT are playing two shows in Moscow and next week two shows in NYC!
On friday the 28th they will be at the ART GARBAGE Club in Moscow and the day after they will appear at the AFISHA PICNIC which is an open air festival.
After that, they're flying to NYC to attend the LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) and play at the BOWERY BALLROOM on Thursday, august the 3rd and at THE HOT PINK Club on the 4th. During those days TPT will also appear an acoustic surprise concert Dj Niño will be on charge of the decks at the LAMC closing party, which will be on Saturday the 5th at S.O.B.'s.

20/06/2006 · The Pinker Tones at Sónar 2006

To make it short, this has been a great SÓNAR for TPT. Not only did they have a fantastic reaction of the audience to their show on Saturday, they also had a life show on RNE Radio 3 on Thursday and got interviewed by BBC1, COM Radio, MTV, Scanner FM, Localia TV, Icat and Andorra TV. Next morning, La Vanguardia opened page 2 of cultural section with: The Pinker Tones and Takemura, the most outstanding of yesterday's Sonar Day. On top of that, TPT have made some very interesting contacts for future collaborations...
